Alumni Moving Up in 2018

Dear IHS Alumns,

We have accomplished many wonderful wins for our organization during 2017. As you begin the new year, please know that you made a difference in 2017 by attending, volunteering, planning or donating to one of our initiatives. When I think of our organization this Arthur Ashe quote comes to mind, "From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life."

So many of you have shown your warm hearts and helpful hands to our organization through your talents and generosity and I thank you for it. I look forward to working with you in 2018 to move our organization to a new height.

Alumni Meeting Dates

The Alumni Association meets four times a year on the second Monday in the months of March, June, September and November. The March meeting features the "Educator of Excellence", presentation luncheon at the high school.

Correction - Football Instead

The Winter issue of the Alumni Spectator incorrectly mentions a meeting on January 8th. Please do not show up for this meeting! Alternatively, stay home on Monday and watch Alabama & Georgia play championship football!

Did You Know?

Graduating Senior Awards. In ten years our Association has given 17 Graduating Senior Awards totaling $7,600.00. In 2009 the Association awarded $100.00 to one student. In 2016 and 2017, we awarded $500.00 each to two students ($1,000.00 per year). A ten-fold annual increase.
